Modern early years, delivered by skilled educators with generous adult:child ratios and a curriculum that draws from the best of pedagogy, language, music, movement and the outdoors.
We are not constrained by any single curriculum. The Nest combines the best elements of different approaches — Reggio Emilia’s child-led inquiry, Montessori’s prepared environment, the warmth of attachment-based care — to provide your child with a broad, fulfilling early years experience.
At the Nest we deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, the statutory standard for children aged 0–5 in England. Within EYFS, our team layers in additional enrichment — languages, ballet, eco-explorers, STEM and Makaton + Me — so children leave the Nest confident, curious, communicative, and ready for school.
Every Nest child has a key person and a buddy key person — two named educators who know your child well, support their development and stay in close contact with you about their day. The buddy steps in seamlessly when your key person is on holiday or off, so your child always has a familiar adult close by.

The statutory framework for all childcare providers in England. Covers personal/social development, communication and language, physical development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.
We operate generous ratios across every age group, giving more attention, more language exchange and more individualised care.
All enrichment is included in your fees. We run a weekly rotation of six specialist sessions across the curriculum — some delivered by external experts, others led in-house by our trained educators.
Weekly immersive sessions led by a native-speaker educator. Songs, games and storytelling that build vocabulary and an ear for the language from an early age.
Weekly sessions with a Mandarin specialist using songs, sensory play and counting games. Builds tonal awareness in the formative years when it matters most.
Weekly classes from a qualified instructor. Coordination, posture, listening skills and creative movement — all in age-appropriate sessions.
Outdoor learning, gardening, weather, seasons and the natural world — led by our trained educators using the surrounding green spaces.
Sign-supported communication, daily. Helps non-verbal children express themselves and gives every child an extra tool for connection — led by our Makaton-trained team.
Hands-on science, simple engineering and early maths. Building, testing, predicting — led by our pre-school team using age-appropriate kit.
Routines are reassuring for children. Here’s how a typical day unfolds, with subtle differences for the youngest babies and our older toddlers and pre-school children. We review and update room routines regularly so they reflect each cohort’s needs.

We use Famly — a private, secure parent-communication app — to share your child’s day in real time. You choose how much you want to see.

Famly gives you a window into your child’s day at the Nest — meals eaten, naps taken, photos from activities, and notes from their key person. Everything is private to you and your child’s family.
Sofia helped pour the milk for snack today and counted out the apple slices for the table. She’s been so proud of herself!

Starting nursery is a big step. We start with an online handover, short forms then a phone call, to take care of the paperwork and the ‘All about me’ questions efficiently. Then a three-session in-nursery approach in the week before your child’s official start date.
Quick online forms cover the joining paperwork. We then book a short pre-settle phone call with you to run through your child’s home routine, food likes, sleep habits and anything else that helps them feel settled. An efficient, low-effort for you process, and no extra visits before your child has even started.
You stay with your child to explore the room, meet the key person and the buddy, and ease into the rhythm of nursery life together.
Two hours without you, but you’re a phone call away. Your child gets to know their key person properly.
A second two-hour session at a different time. Morning if the first was afternoon, or vice versa, so your child experiences a different part of the day.
All three sessions are free. If your child shows us that they need more time, we can be flexible. Our goal is for them to feel at home before the first real day.
